Thin-section scans of the Rotliegend sandstone reservoir of the Groningen field, the Netherlands

Scans of thin-sections from the Rotliegend reservoir of the Groningen Gas field, the Netherlands. Each scan was taken with a Zeiss Axio Scan Z1 Slide Scanner which captured images at 10× magnification in both plane-polarized light (PPL) and cross-polarized light (XPL) at six different rotational angles (0°, 15°, 30°, 60°, and 75°). <br>
Three example datasets can be downloaded here. Access to the full dataset (1.3 TB) can be requested via the point of contact. An archive with lower-resolution overview (.png) of all thin-sections in plane polarised light can also be downloaded.
