Postmenopausal women treated for breast cancer with insulin resistance: Clinical, Analytical, Cross-sectional

In spite of the growing body of evidence, the connection between heat shock proteins (HSPs), particularly HSP60 and HSP70, with insulin resistance (IR) and the prognosis of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk among female breast cancer (BC) survivors remains a matter of contention. While intracellular HSP70 plays an anti-inflammatory role, extracellular HSP70 can trigger pro-inflammatory pathways and has been linked to IR. However, the exact relationship between HSPs and IR in BC survivors remains poorly understood. Through an investigation into the link between HSPs and IR, this study aims to illuminate this intricate relationship and potentially open doors for the development of innovative treatments or interventions aimed at addressing insulin resistance in postmenopausal BC survivors. Consequently, the study's objective is to explore the potential correlation between serum levels of HSP60 and HSP70 and insulin resistance in postmenopausal women.
