The study of microbial communities (bacteria and archaea) in high altitude wetlands environments indicates a high novelty and notorious contribution to biogeochemical cycling. In this research we aim to evaluate the variability of potentially active (cDNA) microbial communities involved in nitrogen recycling in diverse environments types (lakes, ponds, streams) of Salar del Huasco.
