Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one of main pathogens of medical device-related infections due to its adhesion and biofilm-forming capacity on the organ surfaces of host. However, methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) is capable of forming biofilm in vitro and indeed such biofilms are resistant to vancomycin. Hence, studying the possible mechanisms of MSSA biofilm formation is urgent and necessary.
