Extensive livestock systems contributions to people and nature

This database compiles data from a global systematic review of 908 peer-reviewed articles, covering 1,393 case studies of extensive livestock systems across 93 countries. It includes bibliographic, geographic and livestock-system information, together with reported contributions to people and nature classified as material, non-material or regulating using an adapted Nature’s Contributions to People framework. Effects are coded as beneficial, detrimental or undetermined. The Effects sheet contains one row per reported contribution, while the Interactions sheet summarizes contributions and their interactions at the case-study level, including beneficial and detrimental concurrencies, trade-offs and conflicts.
