La straniante tassonomia di Augusto Lanza. Modi di dire e metalinguistica nei polizieschi di Gianni Biondillo

Augusto Lanza is a colleague of Inspector Michele Ferraro, the protagonist of the detective novels written by Gianni Biondillo and published by Guanda between 2004 and 2022. Lanza does not understand the metaphores and irony, and this is a problem in his conversations with his collegues. It generates comic situations, in which idiomatic expreessions are deconstructed. These conversations should be considered as a metalinguistic analysis of the idiomatic language and they have a narrative and meta-textual function, which makes interesting Biondillo's novels and introduces a innovative element in the contemporary italian detective stories.
