Stegostoma tigrinum (zebra shark) genome, sSteFas3, transcriptome data

The zebra shark (Stegostoma tigrinum) is a species of carpet shark and the sole member of the family Stegostomatidae. It is found throughout the tropical Indo-Pacific, frequenting coral reefs and sandy flats (from Wikipedia entry). These sample were taken from a female parthenote <6 hours after euthanasia at Ripley's Aquarium of Myrtle Beach in South Carolina, and were coordinated by Kady Lyons and Gavin Naylor to generate transcriptome data for the sSteFas4 reference genome for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP). Sequencing and genome assembly were conducted at the Vertebrate Genomes Lab (VGL) at the Rockefeller University, led by Jennifer Balacco, Giulio Formenti, and Erich D. Jarvis.
