Neonicotinoid pesticides cause behavioral abnormalities in mammals, raising concerns about their effects on neural function. We investigated effects of sub-acute exposure to a neonicotinoid pesticide, clothianidin (CLO) on gene expression profiles of the cerebral cortex and hippocampus in male mice Overall design: Male mice were administrated no observed adverse effect level (NOAEL; 50 mg/kg/day) of CLO or vehicle (1% DMSO) for 2 weeks.
