Arthrobacter sp. Helios is an actinobacteria that was isolated from solar panels in Valencia, a Mediterranean city located in Spain, and it shows a high tolerance to desiccation. The physiological properties of this strain offer us the opportunity to use it as a putative cell factory for biotechnological applications under conditions of extreme dryness.
