资源简介:
The James Hamlyn Willis Guide to Records documents and contextualises the records of James Hamlyn Willis, a botanist and author who was taxanomic botanist at the National Herbarium, Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne, from 1937 to the end of his career in 1972. The collection documented by the Guide consists of 1991 inventory items, mostly paper format files. The records are grouped into 30 series and cover much of Willis' career as a botanist and author. Included are correspondence, notes, manuscripts, publications, photographs and ephemera. The total collection occupies 3,002 linear cm of shelf space (or its equivalent). The Guide is the output of a research database. It was published online by the Australian Science and Technology Heritage Centre in 2000. Preparation of the Guide had begun in the mid-1990s by the Australian Science Archives Project. The records were transferred to the library at the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne. The collection was listed by Rachel Tropea with Andrea Barnes and Fay Anderson.
