Multigene Testing Panels Reveal Pathogenic Variants in Sporadic Breast Cancer Patients in Northern China

This research performed targeted next-generation sequencing (NGS) of tumor tissues from breast cancer patients, by hybridization capture-based multi-gene panels. Through the analysis of clinical data from 253 patients, the study identifies a total of 421 rare variants, emphasizing the prevalence and potential clinical implications of these variations. The findings underscore the importance of continued exploration and understanding of these genetic variants' functional impacts, which could significantly influence future breast cancer management strategies.
