资源简介:
The data presented is derived from “Influx of Atlantic Water from the Nordic Seas to the Arctic Ocean during the late glacial and the Holocene, 2012”. Trace element analysis on foraminferal calcite enabled reconstruction of past water mass properties and marine environments under the axis of Atlantic water transported from the Nordic Seas to the Arctic Ocean during the late glacial and holocene. The reconstruction made it possible to study natural variations in the temperature of the Atlantic Water in the Norwegian Current, North Cape Current, and West Spitsbergen Current during the late glacial and Holocene. The possible effects of meltwater from the Barents-Svalbard Ice Sheet on the influx of Atlantic Water during the late glacial, were also studied. The research compared natural late glacial and Holocene variations in the Norwegian Current, North Cape Current and West Spitsbergen Current to the Irminger and East Greenland currents.
