Reconstructed soil moisture and soil temperature dataset for the CTP-SMTMN (June–September, 2010–2021)

This dataset contains reconstructed soil moisture (SM) and soil temperature (ST) time series for 57 stations of the Central Tibetan Plateau Soil Moisture and Temperature Monitoring Network (CTP-SMTMN). The dataset covers the summer period (June–September) from 2010 to 2021, with an hourly temporal resolution and four soil depths (0–5, 10, 20, and 40 cm). The dataset was generated using MATLAB scripts and is stored in MATLAB .mat file format. All reconstructed datasets are organized as matrices with time series arranged by station and observation time. The filled_SM_BP folder contains reconstructed soil moisture data at multiple soil depths generated using the Back-Propagation (BP) neural network method.The filled_SM_MLR folder contains reconstructed soil moisture data at multiple soil depths obtained using the Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) method.The filled_ST_BP folder contains reconstructed soil temperature data at multiple soil depths generated using the Back-Propagation (BP) neural network method.The filled_ST_MLR folder contains reconstructed soil temperature data at multiple soil depths obtained using the Multiple Linear Regression (MLR) method.The obs_org folder contains the original observed soil moisture and soil temperature data used in this study, together with station ordering information and corresponding observation time series
