Single-cell mass cytometry profiling of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from ankylosing spondylitis patients

To obtain a comprehensive understanding of the immune context and to explore novel driving factors in AS pathogenesis, we designed an ingenious workflow that combined shot-gun proteomics and single-cell mass cytometry to investigate the proteome alterations in PMBCs associated with AS. We performed single-cell mass cytometric analyses and profiled more than 2 million cells from 36 PBMC samples from 24 AS patients and 12 healthy donors.
