Model for the informational representation of part geometry

The paper considers the development of an information model for part geometry, which constitutes the primary basis for forming technological datum systems in machining process design. To solve this problem, a surface-state matrix was proposed, representing both the spatial positions of surfaces in a chosen Cartesian coordinate system and their adjacency relations. The combination of these parameters provides a comprehensive description of the relative orientation of all surfaces.
