Strand-specific RNA-seq of clonal Giardia lamblia trophozoites

So far, most of the available RNA-seq experiments regarding Giardia lamblia in databases, are made from non-clonal parasite lines or from mixed populations of trophozoites. In this work, a clonal trophozoite population from the original WB isolate C6 was generated using serial dilutions. Sequencing libraries were prepared according to a strand-specific protocol using rRNA-depleted total RNA from two different clones. Moreover, one of the clones was incubated for 4 h with low concentrations of a monoclonal antibody against a specific VSP, and was RNA-sequenced as well.
