Project 17D: Bern FN Core: Pathogens identified in episodes of fever in chemotherapy-induced neutropenia (FN) with bacteremia in pediatric patients in Bern, Switzerland, 1993-2012

Data on 195 pathogens and their <i>in vitro</i> antibiotic susceptibility identified in 134 episodes of fever in neutropenia (FN) with bacteremia, in 102 pediatric patients treated with chemotherapy for cancer in Bern, Switzerland from 1993 to 2012.<br><br>These data can mainly be used (1) to study FN characteristics over time; (2) to study pathogen distribution over time; and (3) <i>in vitro</i> antibiotic susceptibility patterns over time.<br><br>One data file contains information on FN episodes, the other one infomation on the pathogens detected and their <i>in vitro </i>antibiotic susceptibilities. The corresponding key-files explain the variables. Data from both files can be merged using the variables RANDOM.ID and EPI.PER.PAT.
