PROJECT DESCRIPTION:<br> With increasing interest in heavier carbene analogs and the expanding field of ylides as stabilizing substituents in main-group chemistry, we report the synthesis of the first ylide-stabilized stibenium cation 3. Despite the high electron-donating capabilities of ylide substituents, increased stabilization by sulfur handles attached to the backbone of the ylide substituents, confirmed by computational studies proved to be the key to successfully synthesizing a stable stibenium cation. Furthermore, a Sb-based lone pair is present in the HOMO, which is contradictory to previous reports on isolable stibenium cations, further showcasing the exotic nature of ylide-substituents in main-group chemistry.<br> <br> DATASET DESCRIPTION:<br> Single folders were created for all isolated compounds. Within those folders, subfolders for each experiment types (NMR, IR, CHN, Reaction-NMR) were created with the related data within those folders. The names of the raw-data folders are in accordance with the electronic-laboratory-journal (ELN) used in the Gessner-group, with additional descriptive information, which compound and/or which reaction is contained in that folder. <br> Programs that can be used to open the data:<br> CHN: PDF with the measurement data were provided.<br> IR: The data can be opened with OMNIC software (an open source alternative would be the software "OpenChrom").<br> NMR: Can be opened with MestReNova<br> XYZ: Can be opened with standard text editors<br> OUT: Can be opened with standard text editors
