Carbon-dated data containing the species composition of testae amoebae and plant macrofossils, derived from detailed analysis of peat cores collected from seven European peatlands. Based on these data, a TITAN analysis was conducted in the paper titled: Long-Term Ecological Baselines and Critical Thresholds in Ombrotrophic Peatlands of Europe: Implications for Restoration Strategies, published in Global Change Biology.
