资源简介:
The freshwater snail Biomphalaria glabrata is an obligate intermediate host of schistosomiasis, a parasitic disease that afflicts more than 200 million people in the world. In this project, we have sequenced whole genomes of two homozygous lines of B. glabrata which have been developed in our lab, and genetically mapped quantitative trait loci (QTL) that confer snail resistance to schistosomes and snail body pigmentation. All data related to the project described above are submitted here. This project provides excellent genomic resources for understanding complex vector snail biology and offers novel insights into genetic mechanisms of snail resistance to schistosomes, which will benefit control of schistosomiasis.
