资源简介:
This dataset contains annual observations for Bangladesh covering the period (1990–2021). For empirical analysis of a research on Bangladesh, the dataset contains variables such as foreign direct investment, forest area, renewable energy use, and ecological footprint .
All variables and sources are as follows:
• Ecological footprint (global hectares per capita): Global Footprint Network
• Foreign direct investment, net inflows (% of GDP): World Bank
• Forest area (sq. km): World Bank
• Renewable energy consumption (% of total final energy consumption): World Bank
All data were compiled and cleaned by the authors using official and publicly available sources for the research project “Can Forest Expansion and Green Energy Offset the Environmental Costs of Foreign Investment? Evidence from Bangladesh’s Ecological Footprint”
The dataset is suitable for replication of time-series econometric analyses, as well as policy evaluation and academic research on environmental sustainability, energy transition, and economic development in Bangladesh.
