Dataset on regional wind value maps assessing techno-economic feasibility of wind energy This dataset is part of the deliverable “D2.3: Report and dataset on regional wind value maps assessing techno-economic feasibility of wind energy” of the JustWind4All project, produced by TU Delft. It comprises all inputs and postprocessed results of the model runs presented in the report. There are two types of spatial versions of model, one for entire Europe, the other for Bulgaria, Portugal and Spain, as described below. 1. A model covering the European scope, resolving 37 nodes (NUTS0), for 4 scenarios of increasing renewable electricity need (Base, RE50, RE75, RE90), using two objectives: minimising cost and minimising land use. Cost tolerances are varied between 1%, 5% and 10%. 2. Two models covering the focus regions at higher granularity (NUTS3), one for Bulgaria, the other for Portugal and Spain. These models are run for the same 4 scenarios (Base, RE50, RE75, RE90), here for 5 alternative objectives: minimising total system cost, minimising land use of onshore wind and open-field PV, minimising land-use inequality, minimising offshore wind deployment, maximising onshore wind deployment.
