ADV and Sediment Data from the Outdoor Experimental River Facility (Sherbrooke, Quebec) from 2021-2023

Data were collected during the summer between 2021 and 2023 at the Outdoor Experimental River Facility at the University of Sherbrooke. Measurements were taken at four cross sections of the river across four distinct phases of disturbance. The first phase had a straight channel with no perturbation, while the subsequent phases introduced increasingly larger perturbations to investigate whether a meandering river pattern could be formed. The purpose of the data collected was to measure flow velocity and calculate shear stress in order to better understand bank erosion processes. ADV measurements were collected at both the riverbanks and riverbed for comparison.
