Bicycle Facilities
收藏资源简介:
The Santa Cruz County bikeways map was made by the Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (SCCRTC). SCCRTC is the Regional Transportation Planning Agency for Santa Cruz County. The SCCRTC oversees programs to encourage the use of sustainable transportation modes, including bicycling. The bikeways data base was generated from the streets database as provided by Santa Cruz County. Bikeways were classified as either a bicycle path (1), bicycle lane (2), or a bicycle alternate route (3). The class designations are specified under the attribute "BikeMode". Unpaved multi-use roads (4) and unpaved multi-use trails (5) were added to the database in April 2010. The bicycle paths that are not along streets were digitized from 2007 aerial photography. The data for the majority of the unpaved trails and roads were collected by Mark Davidson at MBOSC using GPS. A minor number of the unpaved trails and roads were digitized from the 2007 aerial photography. The Pacific Coast Bike Route is also designated as "Y" under the PacCstBR attribute. From the street database, street centerlines (from Assessor Map Base) represent the centerline of the legal right-of-way. These do not necessarilly represent the centerline of the traveled roadway.
