Rescue fee for Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru in Tanzania 2022-2023, by nationality

Between July 2022 and June 2023, there was a rescue fee for visitors to Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru that was paid per person per day. The amount paid was determined by the region from where the visitor came, with Tanzanian residents and expatriates paying 20 U.S. dollars. This figure was more than 23 times the amount paid by visitors from the East African Community (EAC) zone.
