To identify the origin of Rosa hybrida (0067), a good quality germplasm resource with high morphological similarity to Rosa odorata var. gigantea and Rosa longicuspis , which is naturally distributed and newly discovered in the primary forests of Mopan Mountain, Xinping County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, China. We conducted phenotypic, karyotypic, chloroplast genomic and nuclear genomic analyses of Rosa hybrida (0067), as well as of the only other two Rosa species of germplasm resources in the same area, Rosa odorata var. gigantea and Rosa longicuspis . This study is expected to reveal the origin of Rosa hybrida (0067) in a systematic and scientific way.
