A series of pits were discovered surrounding the Durrington Walls monument during a series of GPR surveys by the Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes Project and Wessex Archaeology between 2012 and 2013. This study uses sedaDNA analysis of cores taken from the centre of these pits in order to reconstruct the paleoenviornment of the Durrington Walls landscape, investigate terrestrial taphonomy, and contribute to the understanding of these pits.
