The native Asian tick, Haemaphysalis longicornis, has expanded its range into novel territories, including Australia, New Zealand, and the USA, where it primarily reproduces through parthenogenesis. Here we assembled a triploid chromosome-level genome of the parthenogenetic H. longicornis.
