The 2-leaf-age diploid and tetraploid M. lutarioriparius seedlings were transferred to perlite in the greenhouse. Then the seedlings were irrigated with 200 ml Hoagland solution every three days. At around 3-leaf-age, the irrigation of drought-treatment groups was stopped but the control groups were irrigated as previous. After 8 days-treatment, the leaves and roots of seedlings were separately sampled for RNA-seq.
