A set of floor panels is provided with a locking system. The locking system includes a separate flexible tongue integrated with an edge of a floor panel for connecting the edge vertically to an adjacent edge of a similar panel along a joint. At least a part of the flexible tongue is configured to be displaced substantially horizontally and substantially in one direction only from an initial position to a final outer locked position. The tongue is configured to be twisted about a knee joint along the tongue during locking.
