资源简介:
The Portneuf River sub basin is located in southeast Idaho, USA. The Portneuf River is approximately 100 miles long and drains an area of roughly 1,360 square miles. Five water quality monitoring stations along the Portneuf were measured for dissolved oxygen and water temperature from 2009 to 2014 as part of water quality assessments by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. These monitoring stations were along the main stem of the river near the city of Pocatello, Idaho, and also coincided with other monitoring stations by the U.S. Geological Survey and the Portneuf River Partnership. This data focuses on water temperature and dissolved oxygen dynamics taken at 10 minute intervals for several years from the same station. The data are continuous annual records throughout all seasons, except in extreme winter conditions where we removed the sondes if there was risk of probes freezing in the river. Data can subsequently be used to assess water quality impairment or model whole ecosystem metabolism rates for each of the five stations.
