EEG database: Attenuated Heartbeat-evoked Potentials in Functional Neurological Disorder

Attenuated Heartbeat-evoked Potentials in Functional Neurological Disorder, Brain communications, 2026. https://doi.org/10.1093/braincomms/fcaf503 This dataset contains :- The raw EEG/ECG recordings acquired during a Heart Evoked Potential task, in which participants had to focus either on their own heartbeat (interoception condition) or on a sound (exteroception condition). Other experimental materals could be found on GitHub: https://github.com/FND-ResearchGroup/HEP_FND_NS.git- The experimental scripts used to record the data (including the questionnaires)- Processing of EEG/ECG raw data scripts for preparation of analysis (automatic detection of R-peaks on ECG signals).- Scripts of the statistical analyssis (with R-studio)- Results of a supplementary heart counting task, in which participants were asked to count their own heartbeat using only internal information (interoception). - Demographic and clinical data This dataset contains data of 38 patients diagnosed with a functional neurological disorder (FND) and 40 age-matched healthy controls (HC). Warning: This database only contains data from participants who have consented to the reuse of the data. Data from 12 participants was removed from the original dataset used for this publication. The data used in the study were organized using the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) (Gorgolewski, K., Auer, T., Calhoun, V. et al., 2016) with the extension for EEG data (Pernet, C.R., Appelhoff, S., Gorgolewski, K.J. et al., 2019).
