To understand the potential cellular process of TglT, RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)was carried out to determine whether TglT toxin expression affects the transcriptomic profile in E.coli..2604 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened out between TglT and its mutants D82A by DEGseq method using the following filtering criteria: fold change≥2 and adjusted P value ≤0.001,including 2078 up- and 526 downregulated genes.Gene Ontology(GO) enrichment analysis of DEGs revealed that Rv1045-induecd gene expression changes preferentially correlated with ribosome-related gene,KEGG pathway functional enrichment analysis of DEGs suggested TglT most altered in ribosome and metabolic biological pathways.Together ,these analyses indicate that Rv1045 probably targets genes that inhibit protein translation.
