<b>Functional Annotation Dataset of Gut Microbiome MAGs from HIV-infected Individuals</b>

A total of 656 MAGs were annotated using Prokka[44] for gene prediction. The resulting protein sequences were then functionally annotated using both KofamScan[45] and eggNOG-mapper v2.0[46]. Outputs from the two tools were merged to generate a comprehensive functional annotation file (Supplementary Data 1). This file served as the basis for downstream functional analyses and metabolic potential assessments, enabling the identification of MAG-specific roles within the gut microbiome, lineage-specific metabolic pathways, and their potential associations with host status or community structure.
