Bacillus subtilis is a rod-shaped, Gram-positive, non-pathogenic, spore-forming bacterium. They can be found at soil and are commonly associated with the rhizospheric and endophytic environment of plants. The strain IMA Bs/170005 were isolated from agricultural soil at Cerrado biome from Mato Grosso, Brazil. It is a plant growth-promoting bacteria strain that can enhance plant growth as microbial inoculant and increase crop yield.
