资源简介:
The study aimed to develop strategies to enhance nurses’ compliance with patients’ rights in the selected health facilities of the Capricorn District, Limpopo Province, South Africa. This multi-approach, four-phase study, consisting of a scoping review and a qualitative, descriptive, and explorative study with a contextual design and a consensus-building approach, aimed to develop strategies to enhance nurses' compliance with patients' rights in the Capricorn district of the Limpopo Province, South Africa. The study was conducted in the Capricorn District of Limpopo Province, South Africa, across four health facilities and in four phases. A scoping review was conducted in the first phase. In the second phase, data were collected through face-to-face interviews with 28 nurses and analysed using Tesch’s open coding technique to explore nurses’ awareness of their roles in ensuring patients’ rights compliance. The third phase focused on developing strategies to enhance nurses’ compliance with patients’ rights using five focus group discussions (FGDs) with non-clinical nurses, specialist nurse consultants, and nurse managers. The data from these discussions underwent thematic analysis to identify actionable strategies. The fourth and final phase involved validating the strategies through an e-Delphi technique with experts, and the data were analysed using descriptive statistics.
