The present work is a proof of principle where we measured transcriptome alterations following treatment with thyroid hormones T3 and T4. To our knowledge, such broad measure of TH effects has not been described previously. Our results show a strong transcriptional reprogramming for genes involved in all aspects of cell division, with a potential connection to the immune system.
