Biosphere2_Invasive grass

This study investigated the impact of drought and a future temperature regime on plant performance, senescence, and mortality for both native and invasive grasses in the Biosphere 2 glasshouse facility. Under simulated ambient and warmed conditions, the changes in physiological processes (photosynthesis, respiration, pre-dawn water potential) prior to and during senescence were evaluated. Further, the physiological responses and mortality of these communities were monitored under water stress conditions within the context of a simulated global change-type drought.
