UKordia photophila genome co-assembly. Kordia sp. TARA_039_SRF

Co-assembly of novel marine Flavobacteria UKordia photophila based on 10 incomplete, co-occurrent and nearly identical Single Amplified Genomes from the north Indian ocean.The resulting genome is a high-quality draft with 94.83% completeness and 3.45% contamination achieved after an extensive curation of the co-assembly process. The nearly complete genome has been used for functional description of the novel species, comparative genomics with other sequenced Kordia spp. and for inference of the putative ecological role of the species in the water column it was retrieved from.This is a Tara Oceans contribution study.
