Each point contains information about the intersecting feature, type of intersection, and traffic control devices.</span></p><p><span>93,937 point features representing the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet's Route Log—a comprehensive inventory of reference points along state-maintained roadways. The dataset covers all 120 Kentucky counties across all 12 KYTC highway districts. Each point marks a significant location along a route, with the majority being road intersections.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>The point types include:&nbsp;</span></p><ul><li><span>Intersections with local roads (62,691) – the most common type&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>State-maintained route intersections (17,280)&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Private road intersections (8,453)&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>County lines (2,425)&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Railroad crossings (825)&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Interchanges (797)&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Maintenance terminators (881)&nbsp;</span></li></ul><p><span>Intersection geometry is classified as T-intersections (60,863), Y-intersections (10,987), 4-leg intersections (16,682), and other configurations including rotaries and restricted crossing U-turns. The route system encompasses Kentucky Routes (66,062 points), US Routes (14,434), City Streets (9,955), County Roads (2,638), Interstates (410), and named parkways including Hal Rogers, Bluegrass, Western Kentucky, and others.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>Attributes include milepost references, route identifiers, intersection control types, traffic signal information, and interchange/exit data.
