资源简介:
The strain 23-C-23, a colistin-resistant Aeromonas hydrophila, was induced and cultivated in vitro from WCX23 which was the causal agent of the outbreak of diarrhea among snakes. MIC determination of 23-C-23 was performed in accordance with the European Food Safety Authority’s recommendations and the results showed that 23-C-23 was high colistin-resistant. Colistin are cationic antimicrobial peptides that are currently the last-resort antibiotics for the treatment of multidrug-resistant, Gram-negative bacterial infections. The increased understanding of these mechanisms is extremely vital and timely to facilitate studies of antimicrobial peptides and find new potential drug targeting clinically relevant Gram-negative bacteria. While there been a little of studies aiming to elucidate polymyxin resistance in Aeromonas hydrophila. We uploaded the whole-genome sequence of colistin-resistant 23-C-23 to NCBI for enriching existing databse.
