This is an attempt at recreating a simplified version of Van Gogh's "Starry Night," with a 3D take. Each item in the model is placed so that when looking straight on, it seems 2D, but when the camera perspective moves, you are able to see the different layers of what is in the background vs. what is in the foreground. The simplicity when you look closer into the design is to symbolize both the unfamiliarity of what is in the original "Starry Night," and the existentialistic mindset that I was in when I decided to recreate a post-impressionist's painting on a computer, with no strain of artistic talent in my veins.
