Transcriptome analysis of in vitro cultured cells of corals.. Acropora tenuis

We have produced nearly 20 stable in vitro cell lines originating from planula larvae of the coral Acropora tenuis. IBV5 is one of the lines. IBV5 is polyclonal, consisting of several types of cells including gastrodermal cells and secretory cells of endodermal origin, and epidermal cells and neuron-like cells of ectodermal origin. These types of cells of coral planula larvae are identifiable by analyzing the expression of marker genes specific to each of them. Therefore, in order to understand what types of cells are included in the IBV5 line, we carried out mRNA sequence analysis of cells of the IBV5 line.
