Transcriptomic response of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cell line in treatment with graphene oxide

Graphene-based materials have recently emerged as promising materials in cancer therapy.To find the molecular mechanisms and key regulatory molecules related to graphene-induced cytotoxicity used high throughput sequencing.In this study reduced graphene oxide-(L-lysine) was selected for a high-throughput investigation. Using mRNA-sequencing, ~6 Giga base clean data (20 Million Reads, 150 base pair) per individual sample and totally 125.3 million reads of transcriptome sequence were generated. Gene expression study highlighted the behavior of the graphene oxide-derivate through reducing the expression of several genes involved in the cell migration, extracellular adhesion process, and cell connection.
