Genetic diversity of PRV-1 in farmed and wild salmonids. Piscine orthoreovirus strain:PRV-1

This project examines the genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationships between PRV-1 from different host species and geographical areas over time. We are using these data to infer source and direction of transmission within and between farmed and wild salmon, as well as to produce a robust data set that can be used to develop new analysis methods that integrate genetic and epidemiological data to determine transmission sources and networks within aquatic environments.
