资源简介:

This dataset contains the digital acoustic model of the salle du roi in the Louvre, Paris. This is based on the reconstruction model (see doi: 10.5281/zenodo.14762519), which was created in BIM. As a first, necessary, step the reconstruction model was transformed into a ‘geometrical model’ in Sketch-Up. This was then used to create the ODEON model with room parameters, speakers, and receivers. The ‘geometrical model’ only provides a detailed three-dimensional representation of the room's architecture, including the placement of walls, floors, ceilings, and furniture. The ODEON model, on the other hand, includes the acoustic parameters necessary for simulating the room's acoustics, such as material properties, absorption coefficients, and scattering coefficients. Additionally, the dataset includes the placement of virtual sound sources (speakers or singers) and receivers (hearers or listeners), allowing for accurate simulation and analysis of the room's soundscape. The content of this dataset originates from the MA thesis (Engineering Architecture) of Vincent Vanhamme, titled 'Sounding Valois Architecture: Exploring Charles V’s Louvre through Historical Reconstruction and Sensory Perception’. The thesis was supervised by Prof. Krista De Jonge, Prof. Merlijn Hurx and Prof. Monika Rychtarikova at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering Sciences, KU Leuven (2023-2024).
