Daily Reservoir Monitoring Time Series and Level-Area-Volume Curve for the Bovilla Pilot, Albania (2003 to 2025)

This dataset provides daily reservoir monitoring observations and a reservoir rating curve for the Bovilla reservoir, the principal source of drinking water for the city of Tirana, in Albania. The Bovilla reservoir is operated by Ujësjellës Kanalizime Tiranë (UKT). The observations were provided by UKT, and data treatment and preparation were carried out by CMCC within the AQUA Albania pilot. The release consists of four comma-separated value (CSV) files: a daily reservoir water level time series (2003 to 2024), a daily raw water turbidity time series measured at the Water Treatment Plant (2015 to 2025), a daily raw water abstraction time series (2015 to 2025), and a level, area and volume curve describing the reservoir geometry. The exact first and last valid observations should be checked from the dates in each file. The dataset is intended to support reservoir water budget reconstruction, reservoir volume prediction modelling, drought and water availability assessment, and activities developed within the AQUA Albania pilot. The observations refer to individual monitoring points (the reservoir and the Water Treatment Plant) and should not be interpreted as spatially continuous fields across the contributing catchment.
