To define gene expression profiling of microfold (M) cells in follicle-associated epithelium (FAE), we isolated M cells and other epithelial cells from EpCAM+CD45-CD24- cells of Peyer's patches. The gene expression profilings were clearly different between GP2+ M cells and GP2- epithelial cells.
