Nanopore sequencing of the genomes of asexual oak galls

It has been suggested that parasitoids could introduce DNA insertions that trigger the development of the gall. To investigate this, we employed Nanopore sequencing to generate long reads in order to detect any non-host DNA integrated into the oak gall genome.
