Dataset Overview This dataset provides a comprehensive rapid assessment of the wildfire impact on the UNESCO-listed Hyrcanian Forests (Northern Iran) during the November 2025 fire event. The analysis focuses on the Marzan-Abad to Chalus road corridor, covering approximately 14,397 hectares of burned area. Methodology The assessment was conducted using Google Earth Engine (GEE) and Sentinel-2 MSI Level-2A satellite imagery. Burn severity was classified using the Relative Differenced Normalized Burn Ratio (RdNBR). Additionally, a post-fire flood risk model was developed by integrating burn severity levels with topographic slope (>25°) and winter precipitation forecasts. File Descriptions: Burn_Severity_Classification.tif: Classified map showing 5 levels of fire impact. PostFire_Flood_Risk_Map.tif: Hazard map identifying zones prone to secondary disasters (floods/landslides). RdNBR_Index.tif: The continuous raw index layer for research reproducibility. Sample_Points_Final.csv: 5,000 ground-truth and validation points used for accuracy assessment (78% Overall Accuracy).
